We should all know our way around the world! But global locations can be hard to learn from worksheets. If your child prefers learning in a more visual and kinesthetic (doing) way, then using this board game will inject fun into learning coupled with effective information retrieval practice for improved memory recall.

Take a look at what one family has to say about On The Map.

Now endorsed by the ISEB, 'On The Map' will help your child learn the essential global locations required for Common Entrance and KS3 geography in a fun way. But exams aside, this is a fun way to make sure your child has some basic global knowledge.

The game uses questions specific to the syllabus, designed to help you visualise the world map and brush up your Geographical knowledge. You can also use the Question Cards for a Quick Fire Quiz - see who can answer the most in 60 seconds!

On The Map includes:

  • continents
  • key countries
  • capitals
  • mountain ranges
  • rivers
  • deserts as well as the Equator
  • Prime Meridian and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn.

Test yourself on the UK & Europe and then flip the game board over and take a trip around The Rest of the World. Two games for the price of one and the only Geographical game for the current CE syllabus that we know of.

Customers who bought On The Map also purchased:

Tectonic Plates, Volcanoes & Earthquakes, Weather & Climate, Rivers, Erosion & Flooding, Coastal Erosion.

World and European map

Easy to use. Fun, with plenty relevant questions. Little pieces could do with a breathing hole in case of swallowing by kids. Will be great if additional questions can be bought.

On the map

We have had so much fun as a family with this game. The 20min time limit makes it easy to say 'yes' whenever my 9 year old asks to play.

Great success

My children, (Year 7 and Year 4) love playing this together. Older sibling will answer from memory. Very user friendly for the younger one with some answers written on the map. Still requires effort on her part to locate them. Very inclusive. Happy to recommend.

‘On the Go’ board game

We’re enjoying this. Probably best for age 8+ Aids learning/testing of European and World geography in a fun way. Good quality (and no unnecessary packaging, which is great).
