 Dates to remember 2016:

2nd September - It will have been 350 years since the Great Fire of London began. Don't forget to check out our Great Fire Topic Pack!                 

5th September - The end of the Great Fire of London! Only 6 people were known to have died. 

 

13th September - 100th Anniversary of Roald Dahl's Birth.

14th October - It has been 950 years since the Battle of Hastings! Learn more all about the historical battle through our Topic Pack - KS3/CE Battle of Hastings.

 

 17th October - 60 years ago the first commercial nuclear power station was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in Seallfield in Cumbria, England. 

28th October - 800 years since Henry III was crowned.

18th November - 100 years since the Battle of Somes ended. 

 

 

 4th December - 225 years ago the first edition of The Observer, the world's first Sunday newspaper was published. 

7th December - 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbour.

17th December - It's been 10 years since a tornado struck Kensal Green in North West London, seriously damaging about 150 properties.
