From my own frustration at the lack of resources available for our dyslexic daughter, I created our own, new learning system; a new way of presenting information and encouraging information retrieval for effective learning.

Oaka Books was created in 2013 and now supplies over 550 UK schools as well as thousands of parents with revision resources that really work and make a difference to the outcomes of struggling children. We are a specialist publisher of curriculum based resources designed for children who prefer a more visual and active way of learning, whether they are SEN or not. All Oaka products are designed with dyslexics in mind but this simply makes our products more accessible for all pupils, irrespective of their reading ability.

Oaka Topic Packs are available for KS1, KS2 and KS3 children (paper based packs) and Oaka Digital is our online library of KS3 resources for children aged 9-14 years. Complete with 3D images, interactive activities, topic books and quizzes, this is the biggest online resource designed with SEN pupils in mind.

Oaka supplies over 550 schools and thousands of parents with over 50 topic packs for KS2 and KS3. Many of our packs are endorsed by the ISEB (Independent Schools Exminations Board) and our KS3 range was shortlisted as Best Secondary Product by the Education Resources Association in 2015. Oaka Digital won a Tech for Teachers Award in 2018.
